Surf day!

Saturday the 26th of October

The SWE and DKs was in charge of making pancakes in the morning. (6:30) and that was totally worth it. At breakfast we were told that the 2 boys in the tent should be a bit quieter this night since talking to midnight was not ideal. The 2 boys were Louis and I! Whoops, we had fun, so didn't matter.

After  breakie we got so e SurfEd, about he dangers In the Aussie sea and that kind of stuff. We then went on the beach to learn how to use the boards, these boards were for beginners so not used to stand on. Nevertheless we got some surfs.
We also got some life saving training in the strong rips. And I really mean strong, you really had to fight to be able to stand, and it was not even  very deep. What a struggle, but fun were had.

After that we then went for a swim, a geez they were huge, after that we went to lunch (and we were starving) After lunch we had to talk with out DCs (District Counsellors) about all our problems and such, school was often a problem.

We then had a few hours of spare time. (Like 3-4)
First we went to the Rock Basin, a pool made of rock at the sea. We were there the day before and it was quite cool, it was however over crowded so we went back to the beach. To get there we had to cross this waterway, shin deep. I had backpack on and camera in the hand so it was quite risky.
This waterway, was soooo strong, my thongs I had on my feet were literally forced away from my feet. Now these were mine, so I did not want them to lose them to the Aussie  Currents, so I had asked for help for one of the guys further down the stream, he as shocked and just hit the water and caught it, which was great, he did however not realize he had an iPhone in his hand sooo. Whoops. He was luckily cool with it, thanks random guy!

We went further down the beach to where we went swimming before. And as said, the waves were huge before, but now. Mother Nature, you are so great!
These waves were from 2-4 Meters high! And as Irresponsible teenagers, we ran out and we had a Gaytime! (Australian for great fun!) we would just be pushed by the waves or float 3 meters in the air by its power, sometimes you would see somebody in front of you get hit by a wave, and at the time they got up again they would be 10 meters behind you!  Yeah, that as fun!

It did get dark at some point so we went back got so e afternoon tea and went on talking to dinner.
After dinner we played some more games. Again lost of fun.

We the went to our tents and talked through the early night.
