Surfing Day

Saturday the 22nd of November

Woke up to a beautiful day outside and the smell of egg and bacon in the house. This was at 7 or 8 O`clock in the morning so I had not much sleep but still felt fresh. Got some delicious breakie and headed outside where I took some Pictures. This, was where I got ambushed, I had my back against a fence and suddenly I felt the breeze of Wings flapping and the sound of claws hitting metal. Turned around schoked to find a Kookaburra on the fence of course wanting food. Michelle got me some meat and I got to feed the Birdie, gaining his trust and later on being able to pet him with no problems what so ever. (I did by accident actually push him Down the fence he fell Down spread his wings and flew away, Sorry Henry!)

And then we went for what we got here for, the surfing!

We went to Umina Beach and some nice surfing instructors were already waiting for us with wet suits (it was itchy btw) and surf boards, we then proceeded to the Beach and got taught the basic stuff on land and then we went to surf.

It was quite hard to catch a wave at first, but when you finally understood how it worked it was great, and you sure did get some speed.  Not to mention some hilarious falls when you finally got up (My poor head got hurt). I was quite quick to get up on the board, and Billie (An other girl going to DK from Aus, She had arrived by ferry earlier on) told me that the instructors were very impressed by how good I was at the balance when I caught one the big waves. Honestly, on the wave I was like just like "Wooohooooo!", not thinking about balance, just having a blast even though the waves weren`t huge (Only 1-1,5 M tops). And hour later and 30 bucks shorter we were done with the surfing and returned to the Beach. Astrid, Claudia and I, went to the Beach to try this boomerang I had bought. it did Work alright (In the evening we got it to Work 100%), On Astrids first throw it landed in the bush, making us use 10 Mins finding it, beginners bad luck!

It was now just about lunch time, so we headed to a Rotary Sausage Shizzle and grabbed a Sausage, we then headed home to get away from the strong sun.

It was still early on the day, so we went below the house where there rocks and there we sat. Until someone mentioned there was a cave below the house, then we went to find this mysterious cave and then had about 1 long chit chat about life and stuff.

Henry was also back, more petting and food. Lucky bird.

Shane`s neighbours came by asking for helping getting his boat up, we did as asked and when we were done we met "Bella" a cute Black labrador puppy, reminded me of how much I miss my dog Charlie at home.

We got back into the house and then just chilled until aboug 18, where we went back to Beach for some boomerang throwing and late night swimming which was quite fun. Here we also got to meet Jack Thomas (AUS-SWE).

We got back home Again, listened to music, talked and had a good time. It got late, we put another movie on. Transporter. After it (1:30) I decided I would go to bed, I had a long train ride tomorrow and I didn`t want to fall asleep on it.

3 Hours later, I wake up, Billie, Ida and Jack haves a great time, speaking loud. I then heard this door open and out came a voice saying "Geez, Guys shut up! someones trying to sleep here!", It was Clara and she was angry. Im not sure why I found it hilarious, but the way she said it just made me laugh.
