Bye Bye Year 12

Friday the 19th of September

This was a rather unusual day, the Year 12 left the BMGS (Blue Mountains Grammar School) and they put up a rather great show. With magic tricks singing and other music playing, it was quite good and you could easily hear they had practiced for some time. A few people on stage also made a small speech about their supporting family and so on. And this made a lot of crying...

Not only Year 12, but also MY Year 11. They apparantley had this "Sister/Brother relationship".
Which in most cases is a Love/Hate one. As far as I understood, they had always been rather close and that Year 11 saw them as their Parenting Class and they respected them a lot.

While under my expericences back in Denmark, it was like "Wooohooo they are gone!"

Now after the show there was all these kind of formal stuffs, they get their diplomas and say some goodbyes.

After that we all (Except year 12 went outside) and we all made this line where the year 12 were supposed to pass through like this.

G: Graduates (Year 12)
S: Students (The Rest)

        S G S
         S G S
          S G S

And then all of year 12 went through, so they all got so say good bye to each other, once more, more crying.
It was this sort of Happy/Sad tears where they were glad they graduated but sad that they leave.
And there I just stood, felt like a cold bastard for not crying.
However a lot of year 12 knew who I was because I am known under the name "Hudgie", which was an Ex-student who left a year or two ago, and somehow I look very identical.

Now they had passes the line they went over to the "Waterslide", its a tradition at the BMGS that the year 12 slides out of the school. So they had this massive thing on the hill.
